      Ogunquit is a picturesque New England town on the rocky coast of Maine, where lobster is abundant and the sea views are breathtaking.       The Meadowmere Resort is a family-operated hotel that's about a 10-minute walk to Ogunquit Beach and the picturesque Marginal Way oceanside foot path, famous for its vistas. The Meadowmere is a AAA Three Diamond resort featuring indoor and outdoor pools, Jacuzzis, a fitness center and spa, and rooms of varying sizes in three different buildings. Meadowmere guest rooms include air conditioning, balconies or patios, cable TVs, free wireless Internet, and room service. The resort also features four-person suites that include a main room and an extra bedroom. Luxury suites include fireplaces and/or Jacuzzis. Rates range from $69 to $349 from May through mid-June, and from $99 to $399 mid-June through September. While there, check out the Meadowmere Fitness Center & Spa, a full-service health club with 50 cardio and strength training machines, personal trainers, Roman bath, spa treatments, salon, and tanning services. For the kids, there's an arcade with pinball, air hockey and a pool table. And the on-site West Meadow Pub serves lunch with a kids menu, complimentary breakfast for guests each morning, and evening entertainment.

      The Falls at Ogunquit, managed by InnSeason Resorts, has 77 one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites, all with a separate bedroom, a living room with an electric fireplace, a sleep sofa, a kitchenette, and cable TV. At this resort, guests can avail themselves of an indoor pool, BBQ areas, a children's playground, fitness room, sauna and laundry facilities. This place also has a busy activities calendar, which includes swim lessons for children at the pool, tours by resort personnel, hikes and water exercises for adults. Rates are about $149 per night in the summer months.

      Pinks Blossoms Family Resorts has two locations---the original resort at 154 Shore Road in Ogunquit and a newer facility at 210-221 Shore Road in Ogunquit. Guests from either location can use the recreational facilities at both. At the original resort, there's an outdoor heated pool, tennis court, picnic areas, and a croquet lawn. At the second location, you can swim in the indoor heated pool and use the fitness center. Both locations are within an easy walk of Ogunquit Beach and the Marginal Way, and the quaint harbor of Perkins Cove and its seafood restaurants. Rooms at the Pink Blossoms have climate control, cable TV, dining tables, kitchenettes and Internet access. Pink Blossoms features studios, suites and two- and three-bedroom units. Summer rates, based on four people, range from $129 to $530.

      Seacastles is housed in a quaint Victorian building and is centrally located on Shore Road at the entrance to Marginal Way in Ogunquit, where all the action is. Facilities at this resort include an indoor heated pool and hot tub, complete with a retractable roof during the summer months, and a deck with gas grills. The rooms at Seacastles range from suites with separate bedroom areas and full or partial kitchens, loft units with full kitchens and a bedroom on a second level, and one-room studios. Summer room rates range from $175 to $310 per night, and Seacastles offers off-season packages that include dinner for two.
