How to Cite a Presentation

    • 1). Cite a presentation in MLA style using this format: Presenter's last name, first name. "Presentation Title." Meeting or organization's name. Location of the presentation, date. Type of presentation. Follow this example: Vasquez, Wanda. "Advances in Technology." Technology Conference. MIT. Stata Center, Cambridge, MA. 21 March 2001. Conference Presentation.

    • 2). Write the name of the meeting or organization in italics and list both the city's name and state for the location. Example of presentation styles offered by the Purdue Online Writing Lab include conference presentation, guest lecture and keynote speech.

    • 3). Cite the presentation in APA format: Last name of presenter, first initial. (Year and month of presentation). Title. Presentation given at location.

    • 4). Italicize the presentation's title. Your final citation should look like the following example: Weber, R. (2007, February). Developing emergency plans. Presentation given at Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL.
