Video: De-Seeding Squash for Spaghetti Squash Casserole

Video Transcript

Hi, I'm Lori Schneider with Figs Catering in Austin, Texas and on behalf of Expert Village, today we are going to show you how to make a baked spaghetti squash casserole with sun dried tomatoes. So now that I've cut my spaghetti squash in half, I am going to take a spoon and we are going to go ahead and remove the seeds over a bowl. And it is real easy to do. You just kind of take your spoon and you scoop out all of those seeds so it will be nice and hollow whenever we are done here. Spaghetti squash is a really very versatile squash. It gives a lot of flavor and it absorbs a lot of flavor so it is really nice as a side dish and in addition like we said, to replace pasta. It is really really great. So I've got one-half done and I am going to go ahead and do the other half. I am just going to go ahead and scoop it all out. We'll say that this vegetable does require a little bit of muscle. Alright, great. These are what the two halves of the clean spaghetti squash will look like.
