A Nation Defined and Defiled

A "nation" has been variously described as "a tightly-knit group of people which share a common culture," as "a relatively large group of people organized under a single, usually independent government; a country, the territory occupied by such a group of people.
" "Nation" has also been described as "a politically organized nationality,..
a community of people composed of one or more nationalities and possessing a more or less defined territory and government...
a territorial division containing a body of people of one or more nationalities and usually characterized by relatively large size and independent status.
" None of those definitions of a nation include any references to a purported "nation" which has no defined, defended borders, which allows invaders of that "nation" to run amok through the length and breadth of that "nation," which enacts laws to protect and defend those interlopers, which, by virtue of those laws, seems to value the lives of illegal aliens infiltrating that "nation" far more than it values its own citizens.
Lady Liberty's inscription in part reads, "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.
" It makes no reference nor does it imply that illegal aliens, often reprobate aliens, are invited to join us in the ongoing, 221 year old experiment in liberty that is America.
Nevertheless, that invitation has been extended to virtually everyone on Planet Earth, including those misanthropic earthlings whose primary purpose in life is to destroy us.
All we used to ask is that immigrants enter the country legally and abide by our laws.
It was assumed they would learn our language and willingly assimilate into our culture.
Most people would call that immigration policy suicidal, especially when many sneak in, violate our laws, and reject our language and culture.
The United States calls it multiculturalism, inclusion, anything other than an asinine, national suicide policy.
This week the laughable Department of Homeland Security's U.
S.
Customs and Border Protection division, CBP, issued its annual report which included an admission that it has established "effective control" of only 873 miles of our 1,954 mile border with Mexico-and that's an "improvement" over 2009! As CNS.
com reports, "Simply put, a border mile under 'effective control' is a place on the border where the U.
S.
government can be reasonably expected to intercept an illegal crosser.
" More simply put, there are 873 miles of our southern border which are a joke in that they function less as a border than as a free, unfettered passageway for illegal aliens to travel from Mexico to the United States.
CBP Commissioner Alan Bersin knows the best solution for the lack of border security, but that solution is not even related to improving that security.
Rather, Bersin says, the "best way" to "secure the border is to create a 'legitimate labor market between the United States and Mexico,'...
a guest worker program...
[and] 'comprehensive immigration reform:' " http://tiny.

Got that? Bersin and his CBP haven't the foggiest clue as to how to secure the Mexican border so they've essentially given up, surrendered.
Instead, they're pushing "guest workers" - a contentious issue - and immigration reform - the nature of which is still being debated.
The United States might just as well throw open the floodgates, let in anybody and everybody, and cease pretending we're a united, cohesive nation at all.
President Obama would be all for that!
