Dual XDMR7700 Hook Up Instructions

    • 1). Identify the XM, USB and FM antenna connections at the top left of the back of the unit. The first cable left-to-right is for the FM antenna --- plug the antenna in. The second cable is a black 8-pin female Mini-DIN cable used for hooking up an optional EAUSB20 connector. That type of connector is used for MP3 music players that require USB connectivity. The green cables are XM satellite cables. The far right of the two is for XM data. Plug those into the XM device.

    • 2). Plug in the iPlug iPhone/iPod interface that came in the Dual box. It plugs into the yellow jack at the top right of the back of the Dual.

    • 3). Plug the car's existing harness into the large connector at the bottom right of the unit. Verify the cable colors match. The two gray wires go to the rear preamp output. Blue goes to the remote turn-on supplied by the antenna or amplifier --- if it's not in use, it must be insulated. Black leads to the car's chassis. Red connects to the existing ignition circuit, or switched 12 volt source. Yellow is used for memory and connects to the battery, or a constant 12 volt source.

    • 4). Confirm that the speakers are wired correctly. They also lead into the harness. The violet and black wire goes to the negative on the right rear speaker and the violet goes to the positive. The green and black wire goes to the left rear negative and the green goes to the positive. The gray and black wire goes to the negative on the right front speaker and the gray goes to the positive. The white and black wire goes to the negative on the left front speaker and the white wire goes to the positive.
